Scoop.it, Brand. it!

Spread the love

Curation. That one word that everyone is increasingly talking about. It might even be considered the “it word” of this new year. But, beyond the buzzword, curation is a powerful means to become a trusted resource and open a meaningful dialogue with your users; the interest graph is the real social connection.

On Scoop.it, you have the opportunity to create your own online magazine in an easy and attractive way, as well as to share this magazine across all social media to ensure that you’re being heard everywhere.

Whether or not you have a small target demographic or many different ones, Scoop.it works for you to be heard in your area of expertise, better reach your audience according to their interests thanks to relevant content, and feed an exceptionally branded, SEO-friendly online magazine and generate qualified leads back to your website.

With these ideas, you can learn how to harness the power of Scoop.it for your brand!

1. Be the publisher of your brand’s very own online magazine

Scoop.it does lots of work behind the scenes to provide you with quality content as well as all of the tools to present your very own online magazine in the best possible way. As a publisher, you have the opportunity to MAKE IT YOURS.

If you’re looking for a way to make your pages more SEO friendly, host your topic on your own domain name or sub domain name to bypass the platform. In doing so, you are also helping your customers recognize your brand.  You can even integrate your whole magazine with your website with your own look & feel while retaining the complete Scoop.it experience such as boutiika does it. If you click on Editor’s Top Picks on their website, let’s say you choose SF, you’re redirected to http://spotlightsf.boutiika.com/ their white-labeled version of their magazine hosted by Scoop.it.

As you can see, they added their own logo and inserted their own links. You can also add your own header banner to push the branding of your topic even further just like IS Decisions. Even if you aren’t an HTML or CSS expert, utilize our tips to help you learn!

2. Easily maintain your online presence

Being on Scoop.it is not just appearing on another website. Here, you have a place to share interactive content with an ever-increasing audience. The suggested content on Scoop.it is constantly flowing to provide you with inspiration for share-worthy posts. And when you have your own content to post, that’s easy too. Scoop.it gives you the opportunity to share articles, images, videos, tweets, and more with the click of a button, all on one aggregated page.

Of course, what would be the point of curating such an amazing magazine if you don’t let the world take advantage of it? Connect your social networks to Scoop.it and even set specific social network accounts per topic to spread your magazine out to the world. You can also embed the widget on your website to allow your web visitors to quickly and easily access your magazine.

3. Encourage interaction

Now the next part is about creating your Community. Explore Scoop.it for topics related to your content. Once you follow the topics of other curators’, you will enter the cycle of discovering and being discovered. We never know, another curator can publish an article that may also perfectly fit your magazine. Use the “thanks” button to show your gratitude and click the “rescoop” button to post it on your own topic. Encourage interaction and other curators will do the same for you.

There are so many ways to take advantage of these features that we can’t reveal them in one single blog post. Within the next few weeks, we will be sharing these features with you. Follow along to discover other very useful tips to host a good-looking online magazine reflecting the expectations of your audience.

Scoop it is like merging all the popular social networking media into a one solid site. This is a good thing, imagine a social networking media that connects all service and presents it as their own. It is like having Facebook and Google plus in one area. Imagine if I upload a picture in Google+ and it is automatically uploaded in Facebook. That is so cool!!!
