Be prepared, and don’t say you haven’t been warned. Our very own Guillaume Decugis will be speaking at Techweek Chicago 2013 about his experience as an entrepreneur and “Building Startups to Scale and Success from Any Market.” If you’re attending Techweek, be sure to check out Guillaume’s presentation on Saturday, June 29, at 3:30 PM CDT.
What does it take to grow a successful startup? Constant innovation? Business acumen? Solid management skills? How do you take these ingredients to turn vision into reality?
I’m lucky to learn from Guillaume every day. He told me a few months ago not to chase all opportunities, and when you feel you’ve lost one, that’s a sign you’re prioritizing and making the hard decisions required to reach success.
There’s a lot of wisdom in that man, but Guillaume is quite modest when he talks about his entrepreneurial success. He would much rather discuss creating a smarter and more organized Web, or the Interest Graph, because that’s what he’s working on now. There’s no resting on laurels when you’re a serial entrepreneur. I guess that’s what you get when you turn an engineer into a startup founder– a relentless and super-focused big world problem solver.
