Our Lord of Curation series presents to you some of the great curators on Scoop.it. They are here to share their insights and advice with you.

Ninja Nordbo graduated with a masters in Fine Art from the Glasgow School of Art in 2007. Since then she hasreturned back to her roots and to Norway, where she is currently working and living with her husband and 2 dogs. Her spare time is spent curating and blogging.

-What is curation to you?

Curation to me is the ability to organise and select interesting items from a vast supply of sources. l use my curative eye in order to serve my audience with something that is edited and arranged, something that looks appetising and inviting.

-What is your best curating secret?

Lots of social networking, emailing, promoting and constantly looking for new items to feature. To offer the ultimate vintage experience l need to know my readers well which is a timely but very interesting affair. Another rule for success is to make sure you curate on a regular basis and keep the blog as structured as possible.

-How has curation enriched your social media experience?

Curating has totally changed my online presence. I have also in a very short time l have gone from being a private person, to becoming someone who is more public. l have met people from all over the world with same interests as me.

-What are some criteria you look for when sharing things spotted on Etsy with your audience?

l look for that little extra something. It can be anything from a certain colour that l find interesting, a pattern, a shape, or a peculiar quality that draws the eye. Not everything l spot is something l would want to own myself, but has to fit in with the overall theme that is Etsyspot.

Our Lord of Curation series continues next week. Stay tuned!
