Meet the Scoop.it Team!

Spread the love

The past 2 months since Scoop.it went live have been so hectic and exciting that we haven’t had a chance to introduce the team that works behind the scene. Delivering one release per week on average and dealing with the great feedback we received from the fast-growing Scoop.it community has taken 200% of our attention. We won’t take any break so keep up sending it to us! We love feedback! But as we expand the team today with Axelle joining us in San Francisco, we felt it was high time you got to know a bit about us. So here we go!

Alex
loves to hack. For pleasure and business! Not surprisingly he’s an android fan-boy.
Axelle
was so much of a Scoop.it addict, curating more topics than anyone else that… we all felt she should come on board. She joins our Marketing team today out of San Francisco.
Cedric
is a Scoop.it evangelist, co-editor for TechCrunch France and Director Europe at Seesmic. If you want advice for startup entrepreneurs, he’s the man!
Coralie
handles pretty much everything that the rest of us don’t: HR, Admin, Finance,… She’s a one-woman show but also a dancer who travels as much as she can.
Damien
is our gatekeeper in charge of testing. He’s a football fan who likes clubbing: party on!
Doume
does a lot of code but most importantly spends a lot of time keeping the engineering team safe from Marc and Guillaume’s stupid ideas. At loss for geek stuff? Check his topics!
Fred
is smart (as you can tell from his avatar). He’s coding way better than a monkey and plays racket games even better.
Guillaume
is our CEO. Good thing Scoop.it keeps him busy or he’d spent way too much time playing video games or skiing off-piste.
Helene
handles Marketing and is a photo-reporting fan as well as an active curator of best fair-trade practice
Jibees
would be our Mr Handsome if it was a job. But as sadly (luckily?) it is not, he’s also one of our engineers on top of being a music lover and a great mountain fan.
Ludo
is a serial entrepreneur who helps us on the business development side while also leading a promising start-up in the internet of things space.
Marc
is our President and co-founder. He spends his nights playing go while listening to violin-based music from around the world.
Philou
is always hungry at noon. All that coding ends up starving the man… As you can see from his topics, he’s serious about photo. And also about photo. But he also likes photo a lot.
Steph
is the platform almighty master. If you’re into gaming, check out the e-Sport topic from this serious gamer!
Titom
cracks a joke every 10 lines of code. On average. He also does stats and analytics so I guess he can even prove that.
Tung
is a biker and a blackberry fan-boy turned designer. Quite an unusual and interesting mix, believe me!

In the name of this passionate and hard-working team, we’d like to thank all of you for your support, your enthusiasm and the great feedback you’ve been giving us. Thank you!!!

I’m writing an article about Scoop.it! for a book to be published in september. It’s a book about 125 useful web2.0 social mediatools for education, written by 125 different authors!More informatieon: http://www.boektweepuntnul.nl/ (sorry, in Dutch)Each writer follows the same format. One of the questions I have to answer is about the Scoop.it! company. When did it start, how many people are involved etc.Do you have any press information about your company?Needless to say that we love your service and that it’s being used a lot already by Dutch educators!
