Improving clarity, sources & attributions: new rescoop layout and other changes
As you know, we constantly want to improve the quality of Scoop.it and we’ve introduced a few changes this morning as part of an update to the platform.
1/ Rescoop attribution
We believe source attribution is fundamental to the act of curation. Since the beginning we’ve made sure sources were always mentioned automatically on curated content. And over time, we’ve improved their visibility based on your input.
Today, we’re giving better visibility to original curators which are growingly rescooped on the platform, leveraging their community of Scoop.it followers. Finding original quality content is at the essence of curation : now, as your hard-found gems spread like wild fire to your fellow Scoop.it users through multiple rescoops, you’ll be getting credited automatically as the original curator with a link to your profile and a blue label highlighting your topic as a source and linking to it.
2/ Notifications
The “What’s new” section of your dashboard has grown for many into becoming the pulse of their social interactions with the Scoop.it community. As a result, it got crowded… To clarify it, we evolved to a more structured presentation that will be easier for you to see what’s new on :
- “My topics”: you can now find all the notifications regarding your topics’ activity (follow, comment, thanks, rescoop, user’s suggestion, etc.)
- “Suggestions” : allows you to discover content suggested by the Scoop.it community on topics you follow and check when your own suggestions have been accepted by a fellow curator.
- “Community”: see your Scoop.it community develop here by checking out who in your Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn contacts joined Scoop.it as well as the new topics these contacts have created.
3/ Plan change
Since our public launch, we’ve offered you 3 premium offers on top of the free plan, allowing you to get even more value of Scoop.it, whether you are a company, an expert professional or in education.
But some of you told us they weren’t sure which plan would work best for them. so to give your more flexibility, we’ve improved the way you can change plan on Scoop.it: now, no need to wait the end of your billing period to change plan, it’s instantaneous, whenever you do it. And of course, you still have 15-day trials on all of our plans to make sure they’re the right for you.
Still hesitating?
