When you’re passionate about something, can the Facebook timeline be a good representation of your digital self? Its design and features certainly hint so but at Scoop.it, we felt it would only work if you could find a way to smoothly mix your interests to what’s originally a friends & family network.
Show what you care about!
We are glad to now announce our new Facebook Timeline integration! By turning it on (it’s optional of course), your Facebook Timeline will be automatically updated in real time whenever you curate new content.
Show your friends what you really care about, share your passions and expertise in a frictionless and natural way. This could even give rise to new passions on Star Wars or Freeride Skiing amongst your friends!
As they pile up, these scoops will be grouped on a dedicated box that nicely displays a summarized snapshot of your latest curation activity:
It’s simple. It’s seamless. It’s visual.
Facebook Timeline = more visibility, more engagement
This is great news to boost your topics’ visibility. Your topic will gain visibility on Facebook on both Facebook Timeline and in your friends’ Facebook ticker. Curating regularly will ensure a constant visibility to your topics and boost your traffic as well as your audience engagement! Integration with Facebook Timeline is steroid for your curation.
What to do?
If you’ve already connected your Facebook account, you just need to reconnect it to update your connection settings and have your scoops shared to your Facebook Timeline. While connecting to your Scoop.it account, a pop-up will appear asking you to connect again your Facebook account:
For those of you who haven’t connected your Facebook yet, go on your Scoop.it account and do it today! To do so, just click on the Facebook icon on your dashboard:
Please note that this is an option offered for you to boost the impact of your curation; you can connect or disconnect it at will through your account settings (Account > Sharing Options > Uncheck “Share your scoops to your Facebook Timeline”).
[Update] Further to your many questions, please note that Facebook does not support Timeline Apps for Fan pages. We will of course keep you posted if this evolves in the future!
Enjoy!
The Scoop.it Team
Je tweet automatiquement tous mes Scoop.it et Twitter les envoie automatiquement à Facebook. Pour moi, cette option ferrait doublon. I tweet all my Scoop and Twitter put them on Facebook ; so …
La presentation es totalement differente et n’est en rien un doublon
Does it work with a facebook fan page?
Hi Adri, that works for personal pages only.
Pages are available NOW> Look under your profile picture and you will see 6 social icons. Â 3rd from left is a staggered Facebook icon. Â Click on it and a box will open that says – “Select Your Facebook Pages to Share Your Scoops with Your Readers.” Â The link will take you to a page where you manage your social presence.

Would need to know how this will work with using a Facebook Page vs. the personal timeline and also want to see how the linking works out. Does the link to scoop.it go to our own curated scoop.it page or to scoop.it main page?
You are just brilliant…I love scoop.it
Hi Scoop.it Team,
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to use this feature for a fan page…
Too bad, since I use Scoop.it in a professional context.
Would this feature be available any soon ?
need to try this
It’s not working for me 🙁 I’d love to use it on my Facebook page!
Hi Vicky, have you updated your Facebook connection settings? Once you did it, it should work!
Agreed, this really isn’t valuable to me unless I can use it with Facebook Pages. My personal friends don’t care about what I do professionally but this tool would be awesome to have on all the pages I manage for clients. Also, I think people would prefer if the link goes to the source article, not to anything on scoop.it.
Just to add my voice to those wanting a connection with a Facebook Page – much more useful to me that way. Thanks.
Great tool; it was so easy to connect to my business Page. Â I had multiple choices of all my Pages and chose the one most appropriate for Scoop.it.
Would like this feature more if it worked with Fan pages as we use it in a professional setting as well. Â Add another vote of support for completing that feature as soon as possible.
You can select your business Page now.
No, not seeing that option. Â The app wants to do it’s thing on all pages, and doesn’t seem to be allowing me to choose which page or pages.
This is great, saves me the hassle of re-sharing on Facebook. Great move Team Scoopit!!!
Hi Mike (Macey), Â I think there may be some confusion here, Â Scooping items to a Facebook Page is easy. Â What people including me are looking for is how to activate the timeline option that is now available on Facebook Prfofiles but does not appear to be available for Facebook Page timelines.
Absolutely wonder full! I love Scoop. It! and this will be the icing on the cake ♥ THANK YOU ♥
Good integrations! Thanks!
Kool Thanks for this new option !!!
very thank you for scoop.it….by rattanfurnitureconcept.com

Decent feature, except for many of us use Fan pages in
a professional way. So fro that perspective this was kinda disappointing to be honest. Hopefully, you will find a way to add the curation to Fan pages too very soon, as I do this with other apps currently.
Awesome thanks!
Cant wait to try it out!
Awasome, thanks scoop.it!!!
Its Awesome, like the Scoops here!
Great ! Thx a lot !
Eu ainda não posso dizer se amo ou se não amo o Scoop.it. Apenas referir que se trata de site muito inteligente e criativo!
Thanks for this article.
Great Article, Thanks for sharing. There was and still is a lot of mixed feedback on the new Facebook timeline integration. Personally I love it, it just adds more customization and branding options for your page! You can’t say your page looked better without a nice cover photo with your brand on there !
I’d love to be able to connect my scoop.it topic to a specific group I’ve created in FB. 🙁
However, it looks good on my timeline too 🙂
Thank you!

Would like my scoops to show up on my group page icentre rather than my personal page? Can you choose WHICH Facebook page they show up on?
