Lord of Curation Series: Martin Gysler

Spread the love

Our Lord of Curation series presents to you some of the great curators on Scoop.it. They are here to share their insights and advice with you.

Martin Gysler is a a self-entrepreneur for over 20 years. He has been active in various fields such as, insurance, real estate, sports and wellness.

As convinced autodidact, he always had a strong attraction to computers and the web. However, this area was little or no accessible to a lucrative business, so he had to wait to get into this sector. This is been done for some time now. Today, he has abandoned most of the other branches to devote himself to his main passion which is the web and social media.

He offer his services (advice, strategy, implementation and training) to individuals and companies wishing to gain a foothold and increase their presence in this sector.

It is ultimately what he has wanted to do for a long time and now is a dream come true!

-What is curation to you?

Curation is the best thing to spread professional and interesting things in the online world. The Internet is full of useful content and good quality in various areas. The only thing we need to do is to take it! Another advantage is that it greatly reduces the copy / paste (plagiarism) that is too often used in the online world… therefore, only benefits and happiness that is free to access!

-What is your best curating secret?

Research, research and research further through the net, the best blogs and sites that provide interesting new trends or information useful in the world in online / offline… that’s it! There’s no real secret, just hard work. The most important thing is to be active, post regularly and as often as possible interesting stuff. Finally, it’s easy and that’s what makes this activity affordable for all.

-How has curation enriched your social media experience?

Since I am an active Curator I discovered many new things, I have more followers, on my various social media, and interesting exchanges as well. This activity is the best thing to do for those who want to stay updated in the rapidly changing online world, increase their knowledge and its rating as well, which is becoming increasingly important in our world.

-You have a topic on building “success”. What would be your personal definition of success?

The success can have many faces. If I focus on the professional world it’s, “the freedom and pleasure of what I do.” What I mean is, “I decide if and when I work.” If I love what I do, I can live my life with much more satisfaction”. Success may also mean that other people have success thanks my support or through the information I gives available on my various social media.

Finally, what matters is to be happy and satisfied with his life, that’s what success mean for me!

Our Lord of Curation Series continues next week. Stay tuned!
